New York Jets & Baltimore Ravens UNDER 44.5 Points (-105)
In terms of scoring for this matchup, it’s been quite difficult to predict which Baltimore offense you’re going to see in recent weeks. After scoring 30 or more points in five straight weeks, including a run of three-straight 40-point outings, they’ve scored 24 or fewer points in back-to-back contests. In their defense, those games came against the 49ers and Bills, who both have elite defenses. With that being said, earlier in the season, Baltimore had one-score games against the Cardinals, Steelers and Bengals. They also lost by 15 to the Browns. As Baltimore continues to find success and Lamar keeps getting more praise, I expect a letdown in the next few weeks before they make a playoff run. A Thursday Night Football game is the perfect opportunity to cash in on that letdown.
In terms of trends, Baltimore has finished UNDER in six of 13 games this season, despite being among the highest-scoring teams in the NFL. Part of that can be contributed to high point totals, and part of it can be attributed to their talented defense. With all that in mind, 44.5 points is pretty high for a TNF, especially considering the Ravens have finished UNDER in four of six home games this season. Furthermore, the Jets have finished UNDER in seven of 13 games in 2019. I am betting on a sloppy, low-scoring game between these two AFC teams.
