No. 13 Oregon Ducks and No. 5 Utah Utes UNDER 45.5 points (-110)
All of the early action on this game is backing the under. Since the lines opened, the total has already dropped from 51 to 46, which is the most drastic drop of any of this weekend’s conference championship games. The value has already started to disintegrate with the figure this low, but there’s still some value in backing the prospect of a defensive slugfest. In Utah’s last five games as a 3.5-10-point favorite, the under is 4-1 and 8-2-1 in the team’s last 11 conference games overall. For the Ducks, the under is also 4-1 when the team is a 3.5-10-point underdog and 8-3 in their last 11 as an underdog.
Utah and Oregon rank first and second respectively among Pac-12 teams in points allowed and despite ranking first and fourth respectively in points scored per game, the Pac-12 isn’t exactly known as a defensive conference. Expect defense to win out in a game that’s already seeing the projected total plummet.
