Juan Soto, OF, Nationals, $13,500
The #3 salaried position player for the NL Wild Card Game, Juan Soto is our Captain’s pick in our NL Wild Card Game Showdown lineup. Fresh off a 34-homer, 110-RBI season at the ripe age of 20, Soto has already emerged as one of the National League’s premier run producers despite not being able to properly (and legally) partake in a champagne shower. While he struggled down the stretch (.221 average in September), Soto was an awesome hitter at home this year with a .311 average, 18 homers and a 1.016 OPS. Soto hit 28 of his 34 homers off righties this year to go along with a crisp .281 average. He’s homered 3 times in 3 games against Milwaukee this season and is 1-for-1 lifetime against Brandon Woodruff, making Soto a high-ceiling play that’s worthy of our Captain’s pick in NL Wild Card DFS.
