This one almost makes too much sense. The Eagles are a premier Super Bowl contender as it is, but the way their secondary has been torched to start 2019 (Ronald Darby in particular), the time might be right to strike for Jalen Ramsey. Philly has surrendered an average of 340 passing yards per game through their first two (31st in the NFL) after having the league’s third-worst pass defense in 2018 (more than 271 pass yards per game).
Injuries have already been mounting on both sides of the ball for the Eagles in 2019, but adding perhaps the league’s premier shutdown man coverage corner would be scary. The Eagles will definitely be buyers with how good this team can be. Still only two years removed from that miracle Super Bowl run, that window for Philly is far from closing.
No team needs the infusion of an elite corner quite like the Eagles at this point, who could immediately become that impact player in the secondary that they’ve needed since their Super Bowl run.
