The Week 3 waiver wire features an all-time great running back in Frank Gore and a couple backup running backs that have an opportunity to steal some first team snaps. Without further ado, here are the week 3 waiver wire options.
RB Frank Gore – Buffalo Bills
The fourth all-time leading rusher in NFL history is still taking carries in 2019. Frank Gore has been one of the most consistent runners in the history of the sport, as he went from sustaining a tremendous career for the 49ers to securing a productive role for countless teams since then. He’s now played for the Colts, Dolphins and Bills since leaving the Bay, and the old man just refuses to go away.
In Week 2, Gore broke out with 68 rush yards and a touchdown in a Buffalo win over the Giants. He also added two catches for 15 yards and finished 11th among running backs, according to ESPN PPR scoring. Gore had an impressive 16.3 points. His rookie running mate, Devin Singletary proves to be the future in Buffalo and showed it with 57 yards and a touchdown himself on Sunday. With that being said, the youngster suffered a groin injury that could either keep him out in Week 3 or at least hinder him for the upcoming matchup against Cincinnati. Look for Gore to have an expanded role and find the end zone against the Bengals.
