Yesterday’s 3-0 showing was never in doubt.
Okay, that’s being far too confident. Full disclosure, I was very nervous when the Red Sox tied it up in the ninth against the Indians and the Diamondbacks went down 4-0 early. Memories of the early version of the Rundown came flooding back. It felt like tough-luck plague was coming back with a vengeance. In May, or even June, Cleveland would’ve blown that 5-1 lead, and Arizona would have laid down and died.
These aren’t the Rundowns of old, though. This is the re-tooled, locked and loaded MLB Betting Rundown. That’s likely why Carlos Santana mashed a walk-off solo shot in the ninth to seal the underdog win and the Snakes launched three bombs in the sixth to take the lead from the Rockies and never look back. Last night was one of those indications of just how far we’ve come. We don’t make these picks on a whim; we break these down before we take the leap. That’s why we had the edge last night – that’s why all three of our underdog picks hit.
We’re riding high after that showing last night and we’re anxious to notch more wins.
Some of the value I found today felt too good to be true. We’ve got a New York Yankees over, as an underdog play, a Cardinals road under and a much riskier Coors Field under at an appealing price tag.
Hopefully, we’re reflecting on a day like Monday when the dust settles tomorrow morning.
