The PGA Tour sees the field shrink from 125 down to the top 70 golfers this week for the BMW Championship. At a brutally tough course in Medinah, the world’s top golfers will be in for a tough test at the second leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Who are the favorites and some quality longshots to bet on this week in golf? From Brooks Koepka to Tiger Woods, we take a look at BMW Championship betting odds.

Brooks Koepka (+850)

A winner twice over on TOUR in 2019 and three times in the past calendar year, Brooks Koepka is unsurprisingly a co-favorite this week. Holding the best BMW Championship outright odds along with Rory McIlroy, Koepka was a top-4 finisher in all four majors this year, including a win at the PGA Championship for his fourth career major.

Koepka finished T30 at the Northern Trust, this coming on the heels of going T4 at the British Open and a win at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude at the end of July. Despite being the world’s top-ranked golfer, Koepka traditionally hasn’t fared too well at this event. In the last four years, Koepka has finished T49, T32, T12 and T19 at the BMW Championship. Koepka has traditionally been a good player to fade in non-majors, but that big win at the WGC a few weeks back could be rapidly changing that narrative.

Rory McIlroy (+850)

Fresh off a T6 at the Northern Trust, Rory McIlroy has now fired in Top-10 finishes in four of his last five events and 12 of his last 15 events in total. Despite being a big-time disappointment in 2019 majors, McIlroy has been toward the atop of the leaderboard in virtually every event he’s played in 2019. McIlroy has a pair of wins on the year, including the RBC Canadian Open and his first-ever title at the PLAYERS.

Tied with Brooks Koepka for the best BMW Championship outright odds, McIlroy won this event in 2012 when he finished -20 at Crooked Stick. Medinah was the site of the 2012 Ryder Cup where Rory McIlroy actually needed a police escort after he got his tee time mixed up on Sunday… we get the feeling he won’t need one this year. The No. 3 ranked player in the OWGR, McIlroy is an excellent bet at a course he has many fond memories at.
