Winger

Start ‘Em: David Pastrnak, BOS @ TOR, $6,900

David Pastrnak had quite a regular season for the Boston Bruins. He set highs in goals, assists and points in only 66 games played. He’s hoping to carry his hot play over to the NHL’s second season. In two games against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Pastrnak has recorded one point. But, he is putting as much pressure on the opposing goaltender as any of his teammates. Pastrnak has seven shots in those two contests. His respectable 16.2 shooting percentage in the regular season suggests he is due for a goal tonight. Pastrnak scored a goal in his last regular season meeting with the Leafs; a 3-2 win all the way back in January.

Best Value: Mikko Rantanen, COL vs CGY, $5,800

Center

Start ‘Em: Nathan MacKinnon, COL vs CGY, $7,000

While the Columbus Blue Jackets have pushed the top-seed Tampa Bay Lightning to the brink in the east, the situation is very similar out west. Colorado was able to tie up their series with the top-seed Flames with an overtime win during the weekend. Nathan MacKinnon has been a force throughout the series, firing a whopping 12 shots on net. He found twine on Saturday, recording a goal and a plus-two rating. MacKinnon is racking up a ton of ice time. Although Saturday’s game went into overtime, he did play more than 25 minutes during game one. The Avalanche will win or lose this series on the shoulders of MacKinnon.

Best Value: Nicklas Backstrom, WSH @ CAR, $6,100

Defenseman

Start ‘Em: John Carlson, WSH @ CAR, $6,100

Many experts believe John Carlson is the top defenseman in the Eastern Conference. The Capitals’ stud hasn’t given any reason to suggest otherwise. Playing an average of 26-plus minutes per night, the D-man has recorded three points in two wins over the Carolina Hurricanes. That includes two assists on the power play as well. The Caps power play is lethal, and Carlson could once again be a beneficiary of the unit tonight. He totaled 33 power play points during the regular season. It would come as no surprise if Carlson ended up as a finalist for the coveted Norris Trophy.

Best Value: Dougie Hamilton, CAR vs WSH, $5,400

Goalie

Start ‘Em: Pekka Rinne, NSH @ DAL, $7,900

For the stingiest series in all of hockey, it is quite surprising to see Nashville Predators Goalie Pekka Rinne in the DFS bargain bin. Rinne is priced below both Braden Holtby and David Rittich tonight. With Nashville looking to take a 2-1 series lead over the underdog Dallas Stars, Rinne will have to be sharp once again. He stopped 22-of-23 shots over the weekend to even the series up. Nashville’s defensive group has outplayed the Stars so far. Dallas has given up 74 shots already. Look for the Predators to once again limit Dallas’ chances, as they should be able to take control of the series by night’s end.

Best Value: Tuukka Rask, BOS @ TOR, $7,700
